Shipping to Australia

I just opened by shop in April and have not had to ship anywhere but US. I just now received a purchase from Australia. Could someone tell me what I have to do. Currently I do all my postage through PayPal, can I do this through them too?

Re: Shipping to Australia

I've heard that you can do this through paypal, but you need a special envelope to slip the customs form in. I have had a handful of international orders. I just keep a few extra customs forms at home so that I can have everything filled out. I then take it to the post office to mail and they stamp the form and attach it to my usual packaging. It is really easy to do! Congratulations on your sale!

Re: Shipping to Australia

You need to fill out a customs form (buyer name, address, items purchased & price paid) and include documentation inside the package that reflects what you put on the customs form (a receipt).

You need to ship Priority Mail or faster to use Paypal for international labels, but we use the free USPS Shipping Assistant downloadable program and postage stamps for First Class International labels with the customs form printed right on them. More help for that here:

Re: Shipping to Australia

Thanks for asking this question! I'm shipping to Australia tomorrow as well and didn't realize there would be paperwork involved.

Re: Shipping to Australia

No, I don't print from Paypal, I make my box, regular box with the address and the Post Office gave me a paper to fill with the names, address, etc, and the Post Office keep copy of this paper 30 days in case something happing they have a number to see when the box leave USA, but in 8 years I've never had any problem and any box has been missing...I do the same with Japan and Spain and a few to other countries where the mail Service is good...of course, I am always praying and praying until the box arrive :).
