Shipping to APO

Please help.

Can I ship to an APO address? I typically ship USPS priority mail...but every time I try to print a shipping label, I get an error message. What gives?

I found my own answer after further checking around. I can ship to an APO... But for some reason etsy didn't like the way the address was laid out and wouldn't print a label for me. I'm just going over to paypal/shipnow and printing the shipping label.

Dont forget to fill out a customs form.

Kelly, no customs form are needed for an APO address unless you are mailing from outside the USA. An APO address is a USA address.

Umm Bev, not sure when you got out. But every package I have sent to my husbands ship in the past year has required a customs form.

I am amazed. Anything over 16 oz sent to APO or FPO needs a customs form. Anything else of value needs the customs form too. My ships were in the USA (GA, MD, CA) and we had FPO addresses. I have never heard of this! I retired in 2005, ages ago, I know!

I normally fill out a custom form and also put a delivery confirmation on them, so the customer can check til it's in the country. I use usps. But it varies between different post offices. You want to ask about it before you get to the window.
