Shipping from US to Canada

Hi Everyone,

I am shipping my first package to Canada (from US). I usually ship right from Etsy and it looks look my package is going to cost $20 to ship. Does this sound right?

When I send a bubble mailer with a rubber stamp in it, it is a little over $6

I'm shipping a priority tomorrow, jewelry and it is $20. Normally just a few ounces is under $10 first class international.

6 oz. I have the cost down to 7.70 now. I had made an incorrect selection. Whew! Not sure how to do the customs form.

If you are using Etsy shipping and first class International it will fill in the amount for you, then just list what your package contains. When it prints out sign and date it. The form is your shipping label.

Recently found 2 nice options for Etsy's shipping labels - you'll find them under Shipping Labels and then the option tab.

One is you can add your name in a signature box and Etsy Shipping Labels will print that out automatically with the current date - now I don't have to scramble/fret when I forget to sign the customs form.

The other is you can add a default description for what's in your package. I find that helpful because my international orders generally are the same item. However, you can edit it when you print a specific label that is something different than the default.
