Shipping cost question

I'm stuck and don't know how to price my shipping out. Can anyone help?

Scenario:
Item A costs $5 to ship by itself. If someone buys 4 packs of item A it still costs $5 to ship because I use a small flat rate box. I understand I can just put $0 in the secondary shipping box.

BUT

Another item in the shop, item B, costs $10 to ship. If someone orders 5 packs of item B it still costs $10 to ship in a medium rate flat box.

How do I set a standard price if 1 person wants to order 4 packs of item A and a separate person wants to order 1 pack of item A and 1 pack of item B?

Hope this makes sense. thanks in advance for the help-

Re: Shipping cost question

Set up a shipping profile for item B at the higher price. I think if someone orders a smaller item along with item B Etsy will automatically charge the higher price.

Re: Shipping cost question

Yes, it should automatically charge the highest shipping price as main price, and the lower one as additional item (so in your example A+B would go for 10$ while A+A would be 5$, B+B would still be 10$, etc)
