Shipping Questions

Hello,

I currently sell printable files for invitations, posters, games, etc.

I am considering offering printing services but I am unclear on how shipping is calculated.

If someone orders 50 cards, lets say, I would have to charge shipping and before I give my customer the price, I would have to research it myself. How do you guys handle this? Does Etsy calculate shipping for us? Can we choose courier services, or is that up to the customer?
Also, I'll be drop shipping-using a printing service that will ship the items directly to my customers...does that change anything?

Any advice is appreciated.
Thank you!

Re: Shipping Questions

I thought Etsy did not allow drop shipping. My shipping is easy because jewelry is small, light, and only a few sizes of boxes. Good luck expanding to printed materials.

Re: Shipping Questions

I was also under the impression that shop owners had to be directly involved in shipping.

Re: Shipping Questions

I used the shipping calculator to create shipping profiles. Now there is the calculated shipping option. So if you tell it how much each item weighs it will calculate how much each order should cost to ship.
