September Goals!

What are you goals for the new month?

Mine are:
1. Continue to see a monthly income increase
-at least a minimum of a 25% increase; shoot for more!
2. Have at least 3 of EACH "made to order" items available at all times
3. Ship out items in 24 hours or less for as many orders as possible
4. Actually succeed at bookkeeping and tracking expenses
-Why is this part so hard? Geez!
5. Review each older listing and edit out all the "newbie" mistakes I made when I first opened
6. I'm quickly learning it's not the # of sales that matters, but the income. However, I'd like to reach 100 sales as quickly as possible. Hopefully this month.

Re: September Goals!

Those are great goals! I'm making note of #2. I don't really have specific monthly goals, but it's probably not a bad idea to make some. Reached my goal for the year of having 100 items in my shop. My other goal is to make 200 sales. There, I said it. Now I have to do it! Good luck reaching yours!

3) Photograph, photoshop, and list all 30 of these.

Re: September Goals!

My goal is to make lots of like on my blog for an extra credential to shop owners. Etsy has been nothing but supportive about feed back in the past and I am grateful. With the new feedback regulations, I think it necessary for our stores to get extra credentials apart from Etsy for our stores on the web. I like to build a presence for other crochet fans on my blog, where you can refer your customers to see how many "likes" you shop has gathered. That will have the advantage for YOUR shop to be "seen" on Google in a different place, which is imperative to drive traffic to our shops. Kind of like a banker recommends to diversify your money, search engine experts recommend different places on the internet for your shop pops up. It helps to make you known. If you are interested send me an e-mail pattrnstriedandtrue@gmail.com. I made an outline as to what you shop information should cover, similar as to your "about page" for your Etsy shop. You gladly can add feed back from your shop in the comments of you merchant page, have photos and refer to your shop per links, direct to your face book page or other connections you have. It would be just one additional place where Google can pick up your info.

The other goal is to sell at least 50 patterns this month.

Re: September Goals!

I have been very busy for the past 2 months with my daughter having a baby. Now I am kind of free and have time to do my stuff. So my goal for this month is
1. Retake pictures of my jewelry and increase my views and have some sales.
2. Organize my beads and my work area.
3. Post at least 2 items everyday.

Re: September Goals!

I've also been very busy these past few months. Back in March, I had rented a jewelry booth in a local shop. I had signed a lease for three months and was virtually stuck paying more than I was making there. I was finally able to pull all of my merchandise out of the booth (over $3,000 worth) and close down. Unfortunately, I hadn't added those items to my Etsy shop. Now, I'm slowly adding them. So, one of my goals for September is to get all of that merchandise listed in my shop.

My internet provider also happened to go bankrupt during the time that I was renting the jewelry booth. I'm on a limited income and every pinched penny counts. I'm saving up the money I make from my Etsy sales in order to get internet turned back on. Until then, I visit my local library every day and keep up with my shop like that. September goal #2? Get internet turned back on.

I'd also like to re-take some of my pictures. I'd like a more uniform feel to my shop and I really enjoy the way the jewelry on book pages looks. So . .September goal #3, retake pictures.

September goal #4 - I finally have an entire room that I can dedicate as my work space. I just need to get it organized now.

September goal #5 - I'm probably a little late in doing this but I need to start on my Christmas/New Year's inventory. Last year I was not prepared and I'm certain my shop suffered for it.
