Hi all, I'm relatively new, but I was wondering if people saw any pattern with their sales in general? Do sales slump at the end of the month right before pay day? I suppose there are lots of variables to this, but I was wondering if people saw patterns and how they responded or created promotions or listing strategies to address them?
so far, the pattern I'm seeing is : Sunday- slow Monday- slower Tuesday-slowest Wednesday- turtle slow Thursday- turtle walking backwards slow Friday- turtle crawling backwards slow Saturday- turtle died from starvation due to no sales on Etsy.com! LOL, now I can laugh.
I haven't had any activity whatsoever in quite some time, no hearts, favorites, circles, etc. perhaps it's because of all the changes Etsy has been making to the website. I know it's been throwing me off a little bit.
LOL to Browns Designs comment! I too have had little activity the last few weeks. I have even advertised for discounts with coupon codes and 0 action. Hope it gets better for us all soon! Summer is coming!
@Renee-- Turtle walking backward!! I've had days like that...haha. Hilarious! I love it. @Seamarie-- I saw you are from Sturgeon Bay! My family is from there. I miss it sometimes. Thanks for the compliment re. my shop-- I love the photos of your soaps-- beautiful! @Hapagirls-- I am so new I can't pick out a pattern yet, but I see a sudden decrease in activity this week and I don't know why! Was trying to see if there was a general trend or if it was just me or what I could do about it.
I haven't been able to establish any sort of pattern with sales, views, inquiries, etc. They are all completely random. I do find it sort of weird that I will not see any action of any sort for a day or so and then I turn my computer on the next morning and it was a party overnight.
I don't seem to get as many views this last week on new items. But I haven't noticed any trends during the week/month yet. It does seem like sales come in waves. I'll have 1-2 sales a day for a few days, and then just when I spend a little money on new supplies, then no sales for a week or so.
Don't give up Renee :) Your jewelry is so fun and summery! I think it's hardest at first when you don't have a lot of feedback/sales but eventually I think it will get easier. Just do your best..I just started giving etsy a real effort this year, and I've had some luck but I hope it picks up! I have looked at other sellers sales to see if I can find patterns and it seems Christmas time is good for everyone, I assume summer will also be busier for people too. :) Using twitter also helps as far as views go!
I had a good couple of weeks but things seem to have slowed down a bit for this week. I wonder if its just related to the fact that people might be less inclined to buy after Easter & the long weekend. That's my hunch about it.
Well, for me it is Monday slow, I guess people busy getting tuned back into their work schedule, Tuesday, Wed, Thu , good. Friday, Sat slow and things pick up late Sunday.
Weekends used to be pretty steady for me, but lately (the last couple weeks), it's been crickets in my shop! I hope sales pick up really soon, for all of us!!
I've been open for a little over a year and for the most part can't come up with a pattern. The weekends seem to have the least views though. I find that sales come in clumps it's almost like someone buys something and it trigers everyone else :p
