Sales from running ads? Worth it or not?

HI!

Just wondering how many of you run ads regularly; and how your sales are affected as a result?

I am currently running ads, and my views are terrible today compared to the last week. I don't want to lose out on the views by not paying for ads, but I also don't want to keep paying for them if they aren't going to bring in sales.

Thoughts?

Well if you had asked this a couple of months ago I would have said it was worth it. After having my shop open for about a month I decided to run an ad and it brought me my first 2 sales. However, since then, I've gotten one more sale from the ads and it has cost me more than it has brought in.
