Sale & Activity Question

Hi everyone! I have sold three items since opening my shop last week but I have yet to see any of these sales in my Activity feed. Right now I am just checking the sales under Shop Info on my storefront.

Do you normally see sales in your Activity feed?

Does anyone know how to change the settings to show items sold under the Activity tab?

Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Josie

Re: Sale & Activity Question

I have so many things in my Activity Feed that it's hard to say since I'm rarely online when they happen but I don't think so. They just show in my stats I think.

Re: Sale & Activity Question

Yes, sales show up in your feed right away. Then they go away. . .

You can narrow what you see in your feed by checking or unchecking the boxes at the top. . . (each time you go there.)

Re: Sale & Activity Question

I have tried selecting the different boxes to change the settings. I currently have all three boxes checked and still do not see the sales. That stinks if the sales do appear there then go away.

Re: Sale & Activity Question

From what I'm gathering, anything older than 8 hours disappears.
Also as Jean suggests if you have a great deal of circles, the most recent activity will appear first bumping older stuff to the bottom or out of existence.

It's always best to check "sold items" to make sure you don't miss anything!

Re: Sale & Activity Question

No, you can definitely see things older than 8 hours. I've already seen 3 days old activity on my feed. It all depends how active the people on your circle are. If they are very active they will flood your activity feed and it will be harder to see your shop and your personal activity on the feed.
To see it easier just uncheck the "your circle" box. This way only your personal activity and your shop activity will and it will be more likely to see your sales there.

That's very interesting Flavia!
When I uncheck the activity feed to only see my own, nothing shows up beyond 8 hours. I have to check my shop stats for further activities.
I'm wondering if it's different settings I'm unaware of?

Re: Sale & Activity Question

I don't know Alex. I just unchecked the "circles" box and I saw 3 day old activity. I don't think I have any other different setting than the standard. Maybe you just have way more personal and shop activity than I do ;)

Re: Sale & Activity Question

I have 0 people in my circle because I was not sure what circles were. My shop is also new so my activity feed is not very busy. I guess the solution is not as easy as I was hoping it would be.

Re: Sale & Activity Question

It's still odd Flavia. I've noticed a lot of inconsistencies with the activity feed.

Even if my circles have a great deal of activity (which they do!) this still does not explain why I only see the last 8 hours of my own. Sometimes it's only 2 or 3. Then when I look at my shop stats, there is more than what is posted on the activity feed.

I'm wondering now if anyone else is experiencing these inconsistencies with activity feeds?

Re: Sale & Activity Question

Josie, the fact that your sales don't show up in your activity feed doesn't have any impact on your shop. Your activity feed displays the activity of the people you have favorited or added to your circle. What is important is that your activity appears in other people's activity feed and that will happen when people favorite you or add you to their circle.

Re: Sale & Activity Question

Okay thank you Anne! I was thinking it would be easier to see sales through the activity feed.
