Rush Processing question

Do you charge for rush order processing? While so far its not a problem it was for me over Christmas. I had lots of people wanting items super fast and now that I have jumped into items for weddings traffic is picking up and Im wondering if I should make it an option. If you do what are your terms? how fast does the rush ordering get your items to the ones that paid?

Re: Rush Processing question

My craft can't really be rushed, although at Christmastime I offered expedited shipping if they needed it quickly. Going to the States from Canada, it can shave a week off of shipping times.

I suppose it would depend on your workload and what you're making.

Re: Rush Processing question

Well right now it seems that most of my orders are burlap roses. They can be pushed out pretty quickly. Im just trying to think of the options since over Christmas I was constantly having to push orders ahead of each other with Crochet boot cuffs and hats. I didnt charge then except for some of the larger orders, but I feel like if I have to stay up half the night working on orders or working 18 hour days like I did over Christmas I should be compensated. Plus I have seen other listings that have that option. Im just not sure what you offer when you do the rush processing other than moving that order to top priority.
