Registry?

In an effort to track where my sales are coming from, I've been checking my stats page... it says that my most recently sold item was likely from Registry.

Hurray! I think? Do you guys see any sales / hits from this?

Is it similar to favorites - someone saved this at a previous time... except since it is via Registry, it was purchased by someone else?

I've had one hit from registry gift ideas, but not a registry directly. I hope it means someone will purchase a registry gift from you!

I don't really do bridal stuff or housewares, so I have never had an experience with Registry before! Thanks much :)

Well, I guess a wedding registry can have whatever on it. If the bride has found something in your shop she likes, then she may have added it as a little gift for herself. The items on my wedding list are all varied in price, so perhaps to contrast with expensive homewares, the bride and groom have added a few other little things they like :)

I had one sale from someone's wedding registry. A lot of people are adding vintage kitchen items to theirs. I sold a pewter cocktail shaker and cocktail glass set to a lovely couple. It was quite a thrill!

Kristina - Go to the front page and click the Registry tab. It's a place for couples to register for their wedding to pick out things they like which their guests can then buy for them, knowing that they've been pre-selected by the happy couple.

Jaime - that's wonderful! I have to assume that this was bought as a gift for the bride or something, so that's a real treat. to know that someone asked for this for their special day!

Also, many people have been using the registry feature as a general wish list...kind of like Amazon. Maybe someone just bought a Christmas gift.

Brittany - I never thought of that! That's a good idea, I love sharing wishlists on sites like Amazon. Having a Christmas or birthday wishlist on Etsy would be fantastic! There's SO much to love :)
