Refunding

How can I refund when the one time customer deletes their acct before I awaken to both their order and their request of refund. ( I've been ill)
I tried to find the options on the bill but found nothing.

Did they pay through paypal? I'm not as familiar with Direct Checkout. But with paypal, if you click on the details of the transaction, there's a link to "Refund". It doesn't matter if the customer has an Etsy account, that's irrelevant to the actual paypal transaction.

Also with Direct Checkout on the transaction receipt page there is a drop down buttons that stays manage order that gives options for the listing -- refund, partial refund, etc. You can also choose this option on the DC section of your shop. Paypal has a issue refund button on the transaction receipt page as well. If these options are not available, I would contact Etsy staff. Above all, don't worry about it, it will work out.
