Question regarding photos

I noticed that some etsy sellers super-impose their shop name over their photos...and then some DON't. Are you a "do" or a "don't" and WHY? Thank you!! XXOO, J.

the only time i put my name on my photos is for a watermarking purpose - but then, i'm selling photography itself, so it's more of a copyright issue

Thank you, Adrienne. I've also seen it on jewelry. So I'm just not sure if that's something I need to worry about?

It's a copyright issue so people don't steal the photo. Personally I don't put that over my photos. It's just a preference.

FYI, it may have been someone else on this team who pointed out www.tineye.com to the rest of us, but this is a site where you can check to see if someone is using one of your images somewhere on the Web.
