Question about Treasuries

Hello!

I am wondering how some treasuries have so many views/admirers.
Is it all about being on a treasury team and the team members checking out
and favouriting the treasuries made by their team members?

I find that almost noone takes notice of my treasuries... perhaps people
don't spend any time looking at these.

How do you think Etsy chooses which treasuries to showcase?
Do they care about number of views or do they just browse to find the ones
they like and that are on trend?

I don't know how Etsy chooses FP treasuries. Someone here can probably answer that question.

Do you contact the shops you include in your treasuries to let them know they've been featured? Do you promote the treasuries on teams, FB, a blog, twitter?

My treasuries get so-so views but I always notify the sellers I feature and promote the treasury on the team I'm most active on. It creates a ripple effect of views because the featured sellers and my team members share, promote and favorite the treasury (favoriting causes it to show up in their followers' activity feeds, which means more people see it).

Does Etsy not notify you if you are in a treasury?
I assumed those included would be notified...

So many things to tackle, but I guess I will learn!

No, Etsy does not notify shops that are included in treasuries. It'll show up if they check their activity feed but not everyone does. I always send a quick convo (nothing too wordy) with a link to the treasury.
