Question about Pinterest

I love looking at Pinterest, but haven't set up an account yet. Do you use it to advertise your Etsy listings or just as a place to post fun eye candy stuff? Thanks!

Pinterest is a place I love to post stuff I like, and also my jewelry.
I see I have some views from there.

Both. I have my listings on a board that is devoted to handmade reusable goods and also mixed in where appropriate on other boards. But I have a ton of pins so it is 99.9% things other than my products.

Same here, I have both. I have a board of my invitation designs and then tons of other boards all wedding related. It's fun plus those wedding related pins draw viewers to my Invitation Board and then into my shop!

I use Pinterest for entertainment. I occasionally post one of my items, either in my "shameless promotion" board or mixed in on other boards. I'm actually careful about what items I post there because most people are on Pinterest for DIY ideas, not to shop.

I use Pinterest as an idea board for decorating, parties, etc. I don't actively advertise on the site, but I get a number of hits from the site everyday as my customers must link my pictures. No clue if any sales came from there or not.

As a user of Pinterest I find it rather annoying when folks only use it to promote their shop and wares.
