In my shipping notice, and the instructions included with my orders, I tell customers "I hope you will give me a 5 star review if you are happy with your order. Please contact me within 3 days if you are not satisfied... " I think people will leave a 5 star review if they like it and they know you've put your heart in it. A note to let them know you appreciate their business and their time to review lets them know you care about your shop and want to be professional about it.
As a buyer, I do check reviews if I'm buying supplies, or if two items are similar. Customer service and quick shipping are so important for running a professional shop. I think that ebay has made it so people should be more aware that if you are happy, it should be 100%, so our 5 star is equivalent.
