Question: Etsy links on Pinterest

When I 'Pin' an item's photo from my Etsy shop, people can obviously link back to that listing via the Pin on Pinterest.
But,
when that listing ends after the 4 months, and I renew it, does that link on Pinterest still work, or should I repin it ?
And,
if the old Pinterest link doesn't work after the listing ends at 4 months (and I renew), should I delete all the old Pinterest pins I have made on my board ? And, oh my, all the re-pins won't work either ?
Sigh

I just went on pinterest and clicked on the oldest thing I have posted which I've definitely renewed since pinning it and the link worked fine :)

Re: Question: Etsy links on Pinterest

If the item expires and you don't renew it or if you deactivate the listing it will link to a page that says the item is no longer available, but it will suggest some of your other items which will go to those listings if someone clicks on one of them. If the item sells it will go to the original listing, but it will say sold if the listing hasn't been renewed.

Re: Question: Etsy links on Pinterest

I have listings that are no longer available and haven't been for YEARS. Every couple months people convo me from these links, which I think are only available through Pinterest so it will always link back to your shop, even if that listing is 'no longer available'. Amy is right about the differences between the inactive and sold listings, they just look a little different, but it will always link back to you, which is nice.

Re: Question: Etsy links on Pinterest

The key with Pinterest, for sales and exposure, is to remember you want your item Repinned as much as possible. Those re pins stay out there for as long as people leave their boards up, and then others have repinned off of tht board too. So use the original listing as much as possible, or use the copy feature when creating a new one that is similar to that item.. Then the tags will lead it to show your the similar item to the one they liked.
I have an item that was repinned a lot. At some point, I edited thqt listing, and that pin actually links back to a different item now. The one they want to see pops up as a different item. So confusing and hard to change back now! LOL
