Promoting your work

[SEMillustrations]

I've always had issues promoting my work, but now that I've gotten a little more confident in myself, it's easier for me. Now, I'm just struggling to figure out HOW and WHERE to promote my work.

I've submitted my work to a handful of illustration and related blogs (one got published - yay!) and I also post excessively on my Facebook whenever I post a new item. Of course, Facebook isn't the best because it's really only friends and family.

Would you suggest making a FB page for SEM Illustrations specifically? I think that would help, but I don't know how much traffic that'll bring in to my Etsy shop. Back in the day when Myspace was the rage, I tried promoting on that by making a profile for SEM Illustrations, and it just didn't get any traffic.

Any suggestions? Thanks! :)

The only social media I use is Instagram.. and although its not a quick fix I do find I get traffic from it. I would highly suggest creating one if you don't have it. However, the best way I have found to increase traffic on Etsy is by working on my titles and tags. I am constantly trying to improve them, because that is how people find your items on Etsy. Good luck!
