Prioritizing Time

Greetings, all!

My shop is just over two months old and I'm struggling to prioritize my time Etsying. I've started Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest pages and I've joined about a dozen teams in the last month - I'm also getting about a dozen questions a day from potential buyers, team members, etc. All this on top of a full time job is getting a little overwhelming!!

How do you prioritize your time on Etsy? Percentages would be easiest since I'm sure the hours spent vary greatly.

Order Fulfillment?
Buyer Questions?
New Items?
Teams?
Social Media?

Thanks so much!!
Kathy

Re: Prioritizing Time

How do I prioritize my time?

Every morning - answer all inquires that come in to the business. That could be email or Etsy convo. Then start processing orders. Sending out 'thanks for your purchase' emails and setting up shipping notifications. Then its time to do a bit of marketing outside of Etsy.

Usually by midday I'm ready to look at my inventory and see what needs to be ordered. I have 1 day each week set aside strictly for ordering and stocking but I keep running lists to make that job easier.

Then its time to look after the Crafting side of the business. I teach most afternoons for at least a few hours and if I'm not teaching I'm preparing lessons.

A quick peek to answer any more correspondence before I break for a meal with the family. The evening is spent working on new designs.

By around 11:00pm I'm preparing the orders for the next day's shipping. Printing labels, pulling stock, and doing the actual packaging. Sometime around 2:00am I'll list a few more items, do a bit more marketing and then call it a day.

My business is a full time job for me and I wouldn't have it any other way!
