I am now on Pinterest and I need some help:
1. I need guidance - where do I start?!
2. I want to show my fellow Etsyians some love so if you are on Pinterest, tell me how to find you!
3. I want to promote my shop. What tips/ tricks/ advice do you all have for doing this on Pinterest?

Hello!
This is how I started, but there are many ways.
1. Start with something that interests you, say cupcakes for example.Than search for boards that feature cupcakes and follow those boards or repin their items. This gets you noticed and gives you ideas for boards.
2. I am on pinterest under the name Erin McKenzie.
3. There is a LOT of debate about using pinterest for promotion. I'm still undecided on the issue.

To start, just pin as much great products to pinterest as you can starting with your etsy favs-for example,each time I heart something on etsy,I also pin it to my pinterest -as easy as this ;)

I pin each item I list to a separate board on pinterest to promote my etsy shoppie

Second: PettiBear's advice re: having a special board for your shop listings is great. My advice: Even within that board, don't go overboard (pardon the pun) with the self-promotion. Pinterest is a fun place to promote items - including your own - but if you post your own listings too often some of your potential followers might decide not to follow you because they don't want to see too much of the same thing clogging their page.

Pinterest is a blast - I'm sure you'll get the hang of it really quickly! :)

I just started - it is so addicting...
I'm still learning the following stuff.
I have a treasuries board - which is also addicting so I kind of tie the two things together.

Did you have to shorten your URL? I find the settings a little confusing - is there a way to edit my picture and profile?
