Pinterest questions

A few questions:

Is there a way to post pins or repins directly onto your business page and not your personal one?

When you repin, do you check who you are repinning from? Do you think it matters?

What do you do to gain followers?

Thank you in advance for your response! Cheers!

Re: Pinterest questions

1. I have a board set up for my etsy items. It is on my personal account though. I pin to that board. Or, if you created a new account just for your business you have to be logged in to that account and it will pin to the business account. I know because I do all the pinning for another team I am on.

2. I don't. I don't think so.

3. I try to gain followers on the team account by following everyone that follows me. It seems to work.

You're welcome.

Re: Pinterest questions

Hi Anita,

I don't always check who I'm repinning from, but I always check the link! There's nothing more frustrating that finding a good idea on Pinterest and when you are ready to make it, learning that the link is bad!

I have about 200 followers - not sure if that is a lot or not. But, pinning regularly helps me maintain a flow of new followers. I try to look at pinterest a few times a day and pin to different boards.

Re: Pinterest questions

Do you mind if lob onto your thread and and ask a question about Pinterest?

As of yesterday, Pinterest won't let me pin anything from Etsy. Most of my pins are *not* from Etsy, they are repins or found on the web. I have a nice selection of boards and a fair number of followers with lots of activity, so my pins are not Etsy heavy. But, I try to pin Etsy stuff, a line if script pops up on the top of my screen with the word void in it.
Anybody know what to do to fix this?
(I did try asking this question on the Pintrest team, but never got an answer.)

Re: Pinterest questions

I had a similar problem when pinning from Spoonflower and also Etsy, it kept deactivating my account. The customer service were really helpful though and after countless tries it was ironed out(pins fine now from both) and they said there wasn't a problem with Etsy or Spoonflower. But I do wonder if they have something set up so it limits pins from the same place?

Re: Pinterest questions

Jean, have you tried clearing your cookies or restarting your browser? It could be as simple as a glitch piece of code getting in the way.

I have almost 1600 followers on pinterest, and that grows by one or two a day. My tips are to pin genuinely, don't pin things you think your followers will like, it shows! Also find a niche, I'm really big in wedding(we're engaged currently), recycling/crafts and I hate about ten very specific etsy boards. It helps to be specific because you're more likely to bund by those with similar interests. Like instead of a general crafts board do paper crafts or clay or whatever you pin the most of. You become an 'expert'

Also, I don't let any of my boards go over 500 pins because then your board is two pages or more long (when you get to the bottom it says see more pins) and I just think that's too much and suddenly my board doesn't feel niche enough. But that could just be my personal preference.

I'm curious what you meant by pinning to your business account instead of personal? Do you have two pinterest accounts? If so you can only pin to the one you're logged into.

Edit - sorry about all the 'hates' I'm on my phone and it's convinced I always mean hate instead of have!

Re: Pinterest questions

Thank you Erica. I have not done that, but I will. Or, I should say, I'll have my IT guy (aka my husband) show me how to do that. ;-)

Re: Pinterest questions

Ah, sorry, let me clarify one of the questions:

Is it possible when pinning, for the image to appear on your business Facebook page rather than the personal one?
