Photos - Border or None

Hi All,

Hope you're having a great Saturday so far! I was taking some photos of my items this morning but before I change the majority of them over, I'm looking for feedback on what looks nicer / more cohesive / etc -- photos of the entire page with the hardwood floor border, or closer up photos of each map with no border.

With border:

Without:

Any opinion would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Bee

Re: Photos - Border or None

I like the one without a border for the first image, but it's nice to see it from a different angle on a background for the second/third image. :)

Re: Photos - Border or None

I would use the one with border for the first picture. It is clearer to see what it is you're selling exactly at once. Guess i don't help u much with making a choice, so i hope for you that more people will give there opinion ;)

With border. I would map out the area of the floor so it looks even in the photo, like a frame. Hope this helps.

Re: Photos - Border or None

I prefer seeing a border, but the wood background looks a little orange. What about displaying them in a picture frame, and just make it clear the frame is not included?

Thanks all for the opinions!

I've thought about doing them in frames but once glass is introduced it can be hard to eliminate glare. Perhaps I will try a photo mat!

Re: Photos - Border or None

You could also try to put them on bristle board or hard colored cardboard for a matted finish that could be used for different sizes. I must say that I like without the border best but maybe that is because I didn't like the hardwood as the backdrop for the map. The map should be the focus.

I also agree with the first to posters that you could put the other pictures in, in later slots. I love the maps!
