Photo Advice?

Hey guys!
I just changed all my first photos so that they take up the whole span of the view because I really liked the large pop of color compared to other listings where the items are photoed further back with background. After all that work, I'm now thinking it's just not right and should go back to a photo showing the entire piece. Do you guys have any suggestions or preferences? If you click on one item, the 2nd picture should show you the way it use to present (as the whole piece). I'm just curious if I made my shop worse or not :-)

I like to post both types of photos with my listings...I agree..the photos with the backgrounds can take away from the piece..I have a listing for yellow booties in my store that has a little drawer/shelf piece in the background and when I look at the listing my eye is drawn more to the background peice and not so much on the actual booties... I think that one of the best listing photos that I have is for a pair of boots..basically I just took them outside..sat them on wooden chest..and snapped the picture..simple..a pair of boots with grass for the background...less is more I think..

To me the photos look a little dark?
Is it just my monitor or do other people notice this.

Are you using natural sunlight?

Also, Im noticing some photos are blurring, you may as well just delete blurry photos are they offer no benefit to you in advertising your product to a potential buyer.

Id love to see more vibrant colors.
Also, I sort of thing its hard to determine WHAT im looking at by your first photo.

I think I like it showing the whole tile - if you do stick with the closeups - make sure your titles have info about the size - Very hard to get an indication of what kind of tile, the shape, and size from a close up.

Thanks guys. It would appear Ive got some work to do. I'm not sure about the dark thing though because that's one thing my photos do show, is the color. I'll keep working on them! Thanks again!
