Paypal shipping notification question

Here's an easy question (I hope). When you print a shipping label from PayPal, does it automatically send a notification to the customer with the tracking #? I usually send a notice through etsy, but don't want to be double doing it.

No, PayPal does not automatically send notification. You can send a notification through Etsy, if you go to your sold orders, there is a box to check that enables you to send a notice with the tracking # and a short message.

I think there is a section on paypal when you print the shipping label, a little box you can check, that sends a notification through email. I always keep it clicked and it gives you an option to write a message, so I just put Thank You :) I just do that in place of the etsy notification :)

When you print the label through Paypal the buyer is automatically notified & they receive the delivery confirmation number in the email. You can also add a personal note on the page where you create the label just below the buyer's address.
