Paypal Question

Hi,
I'm new to Etsy, I opened a shop a month ago and made my first sale this week (yeah!!!). I have a question in regards to PayPal. I was reading a different thread about Direct Checkout and it was comparing the fees from that to PayPal fees.

What are the PayPal fees for the seller? Looking at my PayPal account I see the money I received for my item but I can't find any fees I owe PayPal. I'm a bit confused and would love clarification. I'm sorry if this is not the right place to post a question like this.

If anyone has any other tips I would be more than grateful for any advice or tidbits of information. Selling on Etsy is a bit daunting!

They take it out automatically.

it's something like 0.30 per transaction then 2.9% on top of that. (until you start selling like 3k a month then it's a little cheaper)

How strange, I seemed to have received the full amount. Am I doing something wrong?

If you click on the details of that transaction you should see a break down of the fees. It does show up as the full amount which is a little weird, but they do take they're fees at some point. :)

When you go to transfer the money to your bank account, you will see the amount minus the fee.

Thank you all so much for clarifying! You are correct, although it lists the full amount as being paid to me my total balance is missing a small amount.
