Paypal Question

What is the reason that paypal sometimes lets you do an instant transaction and soemtimes makes you write an e-check which takes about 4 days to clear?

Re: Paypal Question

I've used PP for 10 or 11 years now. I've always always always paid from my PP account. I've never had to, wanted to, or been forced to use another way to pay with PP.

Re: Paypal Question

I've never had to pay with e-check as well, but I have received e-check payments from my customers before. not too sure why either..

Re: Paypal Question

Could it be with one, the user uses a credit card, and with the other, they don't have a cc so must pay from their bank account, a process which must be "Verified?"

That's just a guess tho

Re: Paypal Question

There is usually an option below before you send money. Maybe I'm not clear on what you're asking but I've had that happen. I think Jim is correct...It's a cc verified thing.

Re: Paypal Question

I would assume it's the e-check. CC's are backed up so they are instant, versus other ways of payment take longer.

And it could be the buyer. If they haven't verified their accounts yet, there could be a hold up on their end.
