Pay for outright?

anyone going to pay to use outright ? I am trying to decide, starting tomorrow its not free anymore :( Just wondering what others think about this.

For those who don't know what outright is, it basically keeps a record of profit/loss for taxes etc.

For the price, it's worth it. Outright's so user friendly, so I signed up.

Re: Pay for outright?

It's my understanding that it's still free, but if you want tax info then you have to upgrade to the premium paid version. I have an account and will continue to use it, but I'm not paying for the upgrade. It's not worth it for me just for tax purposes.

Re: Pay for outright?

I signed up for quickbooks recently because it seems like I needed something more robust and to keep better track of inventory. But, if Outright works for you (I tried it) then I say it's worth it. Although, I have to say I was bummed they were bought out...especially by GoDaddy. I also thought it was just the tax information that you had to pay for. Best wishes to you!

Re: Pay for outright?

I just signed up for it today. It was $70. I'm not good at accounting.

I bit the bullet and paid for it because it makes my life so much easier.

Re: Pay for outright?

I decided not to get the paid version, only because I have read in the forums about a lot of people having missing data. If I have to double check everything anyway it kind of defeats the purpose.

Re: Pay for outright?

Im letting it go to the free version.... see how it is that way first.

There is another option called Waveapps....I signed up for but havnt totally set up yet. It looks pretty good, should the free version of outright not be worth a flip I plan on moving over there lol

Re: Pay for outright?

I'm not paying for Outright. I don't use it that often, because all of my accounting is done in my Microsoft Money account (from which I can pull all sorts of reports and analyze the data in my bank account, paypal account, and other accounts).

Breanna, thanks for the info about Waveapps, maybe I'll go check that out as an alternative!

Re: Pay for outright?

I paid for it. I need all the help I can get this tax season. This is the part I hate, ugh!! Who knew we had to business people? I just wanted to keep selling and not worry about figuring everything out at the end of the year...

Re: Pay for outright?

I looked at it, but it only has the income and expense sides of a general ledger package. If you have loans, depreciation etc, it doesn't help at all.
