Pattern - Yay or Nay?

Has anyone tried Pattern? Is it worth paying the extra $15 a month for? Since all the fees are the same, I'm not sure it's worth the extra expense. Sure, you can use your own domain, but some things are lost in the transition too.

What are your thoughts? I appreciate your feedback!

Re: Pattern - Yay or Nay?

I agree with you and I'm wondering the same thing. I do currently have my own website which links back to my Etsy store. I've looked into Patterns too but there doesn't seem to be enough information about it.

Another $15 a month, $180 a year, plus 3.5% on sold items, more costs, but it may generate more income.

I hope you get more comments.

Re: Pattern - Yay or Nay?

If pattern wasn't linked to the regular etsy shop I would probably have a pattern shop. I just don't see the point of having the exact same collection of items in a different place yet under the same arcane rules. And from what I understand you still have to renew items from the Etsy shop side so there is the inconvenience of items expiring.

I have over 800 items so I am spending about $500 a year just on listing fees on Etsy.

$15 a month buys pretty decent independent webhosting. You can post as many items as you want, at no cost other than the time it take you and they never expire. The down side is having a website and setting up things like shopping carts is lots of work.
