Has anyone ever paid to promote their items on Etsy? If so, has it increased sales?

I bought search ads and it was only a waste of money for me.


You'd have more luck renewing items - if you'd plan to spend $5 on search ads, spend $5 over a week renewing your listings and I bet you'll find more luck that way.

I don't care for the search ads either - but I have made direct sales from them. But most of the time they just seem like a waste of money.

i did both the showcase and the paid ads on etsy and neither got me many views let alone sales

I would also suggest some eye catching photography.

These sellers have a lot of success on here...
Use their photos for a little bit of inspiration.
