Packaging Branding and Logo

How do you add your logo to your packaging? So far we've been using circular labels with our logo printed on it, but I'd prefer something that looks more permanent. I've been looking at stamps, but then we'd have to choose a single color and I'd prefer not to do that with our logo. We'd be using it on boxes (e.g. for our pens), bags, shipping boxes, etc, so versatility is important.

What do you use for your branding on packaging?

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

We only package with those biodegradable cello bags (they're clear), so a stamp wouldn't work - but I would totally 100% do a stamp if I could. Right now we have glassine stickers and mini moo cards.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

Thanks, those mini moo cards are pretty cool!

I suppose there's probably not an easy answer to this question!

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I printed my business name and the item information on card stock that I cut out, fold in half, and staple to the top of my cello bags that hold the charms and beads for this shop.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I have my business cards that go with every package and each item gets tagged with my own personal label.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I have a 4x6 postcard that I include with each order. On one side I have a little "thank you" note and offer a coupon. On the reverse are garment care instructions. I don't spend anything extra on stickers that go on the outside of the packaging. It gets thrown out anyways.

I have considered getting custom labels to sew on each garment, but haven't.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I wanted to keep it simple and have flexibility so I include my card that has all my contact info, website and a social media link.

But I leave the packaging simple, a brown box from recycled paper, nestle the piece in with recycled crinkle paper and dried flowers, Ill hand stamp the outside of the box (Im really into this one I found at an antique store thats just some reeds blowing around, looks great in black ink on the brown) and then tie it with some hemp cord. If I have an extra base metal blank laying around I'll stamp a quick design into it, put a small hole in the top and tie it into the hemp cord.

A picture would be much easier than writting that out haha

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I package my jewellery in organza bags and bubble wrap, and put a return label sticker with my logo on the envelope. I'm also planning on adding a medium sized tag to each piece with my logo and cleaning instructions, but I have to get them printed first. :)

Sooner or later, when I have enough money for the initial cost, I will get jewellery boxes with my logo on them made. For now, stickers.

Edit: Oh yeah, and business cards. I always include one of those.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

What I'd really like are custom printed bags, with a kraft paper/ waxed brown paper back and a clear front, preferably recloseable, that would be printed (on the paper part) with our logo/text/instructions for use/etc.

Kind of like this: http://www.clearbags.com/images/catpics/header_kraftbox.jpg

only a bag instead of a box

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

Mine is simple. I wrap all my items in white tissue paper before they go into a poly mailer. Inside the tissue with the item is two business cards. The tissue is taped closed with a round sticker with my logo, business name, and shop address on it.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I have stickers and and address labels with my logo on it. the address labels also have my etsy and facebook address on them and with bag a large logo sticker.
I Include a leaflet or flyer with each package and use packaging that are in my colour scheme...so pink and green tissue paper inside boxes and green or pink post bags for smaller items...just goes that little extra without costing a fortune.
I have looked into branded tissue paper but this does work out seriously expensive for me so a no go really.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

If you get a plain rubber stamp mounted on wood you can switch to whatever ink color you want. Just clean the stamp between colors. the minimoomcards are awesome!! But way more expensive the plainer buisness cards!

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I use recycled craft paper jewelry boxes with a silver tone foil StuckOnSilver.etsy.com label. I tie a blue ribbon around the box, and add a business card with a thank you note. I use padded envelopes so the box helps protect the jewelry.

Re: Packaging Branding and Logo

I use basic yellow envelopes that have the bubble wrap already built in on the inside. I'll wrap what I am sending in tissue paper. I'll throw in a couple of bushiness cards in the package too.

I'm also ordered magnetic business cards for a few craft fairs I have signed up for. If they go over well, I might order them and put them in with orders. They're handier than actual cards since people usually won't throw magnets away.
