POLL

I ordered (in bulk, might I add) some blank earring studs last week and they just came in today. They are the wrong size! This is the first vendor I've seen that gave me options on the size, so I was pretty committed to the size I have now at 16mm. However, the ones this vendor sent me are 18-19mm. It makes a huge difference in size, so I can't use them unless I redo all the template pictures. That would be a pain.

BUT, these bigger ones are kind of nice. Plus, they display my art a little better. I'm hesitant to switch over since they are the most popular item in my shop.

What do you guys think? Which size do you prefer?

Sorry, it's a terrible picture.

Re: POLL

Maybe keep the bigger ones to offer as new size option for those who want the bigger ones and contact the vendor to see which size would be closer to the size you originally wanted.

Re: POLL

It's only a matter of 2mm so I don't want to keep both. If you had to pick one size, which one would it be?

The seller said they measured by the "interior" which is weird to me. The "interior" of this new earring is like 17.5mm. I ordered 16mm earrings. It's only a tiny difference, but I designed the prints for these to work with 16mm earrings, so if I switched I would have to do that all over again. But, if people like the bigger size, it would be worth it.

I've already contacted the vendor, they seem to be ignoring me. IDK, I love the quality so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt, but I need a reliable supplier and this is worrying me.

Re: POLL

I understand about the worry. I can't help you there. Sorry! :)

As for size, the larger size definitely shows off the work better. Would all of your art look as great in the bigger size?

Bummer of a problem.

Re: POLL

I like the larger one. It just fills the area better. I like more of his neck included. The neck bolt is necessary!!!

Re: POLL

On you photo, the bigger one does look better. However I can't tell which one looks better when wearing! Personally I don't like big earrings......

Re: POLL

To me, the bigger ones look somewhat awkward. Like their size is too big to be a stud, but too small to be a statement earring...

BUT, my ear tore and I haven't been able to actually wear earrings for 3 years. Subsequently, I'm not really up to date on earring trends.

Re: POLL

Well, I love big earrings and I think the bigger ones look better too. Like Meg said, that neck bolt is necessary!

Re: POLL

If you didn't get what you ordered, I would simply contact the company and make arrangements for the correct ones to be shipped.

There's not much point in keeping an item that you can't really use.

Re: POLL

I did, they'll correct it. I'm sticking with the smaller ones, with plans to create larger earrings in a different style.
