One year already.

I just realized it has been 1 full year since I posted my first item. Is it me or did I blink and a year went by? I have such a short attention span that I thought I would be tired of the whole thing by now (can you guess I don't depend of sales for my livelihood :). Not that I have had oodles of sales or anything but I have been blessed with a few and I still get that little butterfly feeling in my stomach every time I get that lovely notice that something sold. Does that ever go away?

Re: One year already.

I guess when it goes away is when my attention span will really wane. Etsy has been a real blessing for me. It gives me the guts to do what I never have in person; make something and offer it up for sale. I have found the beauty of online for me is that I post the item and the pressure is gone. If someone finds it and it speaks to them, then they buy it. I fear ever doing a craft sale, but someday I will force myself to do it....it must come from a deep rooted childhood fear of rejection or some such thing. ;)

Re: One year already.

Sad to say, it does dim.

My first few months of sales made instant butterfly feeling joy! Every time. I miss it. I still get very excited and happy over sales. But its just a dimmer version.

Amy, that baby is absolutely adorable!!!!
I am guessing with the amazing baby things you sell you are kept quite busy with it.

Thanks! I think so too. :)

Very busy, yes. Would always love more sales but I think its been just about perfect for me as a stay at home mom.

Re: One year already.

What a wonderful thing to be and be able to create such adorable things for other new mommies too.
I just looked at Nancy's shop too! My boy is 12 now and suddenly I am yearning for another baby!

Re: One year already.

Wow I just looked at your shop, you sell beautiful things. Very cool, especially the pacifier holder. Just beautiful. How do you find time to sew so much with a baby?
I am with a baby too and I feel like my creative time is very sporadic. I get things done but slooooowly.
