Ohhhh...What is wrong with my shop???

Is it just me? How can I get other shops their first sale with my Etsy's Black hole treasury but I can't seem to get at least ONE sale with my own shop. Do I need to list more items, lower prices (I thought they were reasonable) or is it just hard to sell graphics? I'm at a loss. I'm losing faith. I heard the magic number was 100 items so maybe I should try that? Any suggestions would be of great help

Just want you to know 100 is not necessarily the magic number. Whatever number you're at right now could be magic if you convince it so. I hit the 100 listing last week. Sales still sporadic. So give you best, whatever number you at right now make it works. Not much help here but now you know to take it easy about the number.

When you see someone (in your field) is selling their stuffs like hotcakes. Pause and study why are they having that many sales. I look at your store, they look great. However I don't have discerning eyes when it come to custom logo design. So you've got to study what the tops seller are doing that make them to the top, so to speak. It's not just the design, but what behind it that make them great. The essences, the behind the scene, the between the lines. If you daring enough, ask them :-).

Hang in there & All the best

Don't panic. You started your shop in the slowest time of year and it takes a while to get out there. Don't lower your prices. If you think they're reasonable, they're probably too low. I'm in that rut myself now and can tell you it's much easier to get in it than out. You can run a very temporary grand opening sale or something, but be prepared with a plan to resume your normal pricing. I don't think it's possible to list too many items. I really like your pictures and the uniformity of what you've got. Those are things in your favor. Work up a network and hang in there.

Re: Ohhhh...What is wrong with my shop???

I'm not really in a position to critique since I've only had 4 sales myself but you asked so here's my opinion. ;)

I think your shop is adorable! Love the idea of custom designs! Everyone wants something that only they have access to! I think the only thing I would change is maybe more visual examples of what to do with that logo. Maybe pics of mock up business cards or digital pics of stickers and small thank you cards. I love the idea of the business stationary. That is something I haven't seen.

If you continue to go with what you know and tweak your pics and listings I think you will really make a name for yourself.

I really like your shop! Don't give up!

Re: Ohhhh...What is wrong with my shop???

Gee you have some great stuff! Where are you promoting yourself? I might try scrapbooking blogs (for digital scrapbookers) small business blogs, any blog that gives advice to etsy sellers. You might even offer a blog a 10% discount to it's readers to gain some loyalty.

You could try writing guest posts for small business or etsy blogs on why it's important to have professional, clean, cohesive branding, and offer a link to your shop at the end.

This seems like a great little niche, I'm eager to see how this goes for you!

I'm with carolatfireandice, "if you think your prices are reasonable they're probably too low". I took a look at your shop and I totally expected to see $50 for a logo and at least $7.50 for printable name cards, etc. I'd raise my prices if I were you. In fact, I raised my prices a few days ago and suddenly had 3 sales in one day and I just started a month ago. Hang in there! It'll happen! <3

WOW! Thanks everyone. These are some great suggestions. The wheels in my head are turning.....It's so great to have other people's opinions. I will look into changing some of my prices and promoting myself through blogs and such. Excited to see the results. I'll hang in there.
