Oh no Picnik is closing....

The photo editing tool Picnik is closing. Can anyone suggest another free photo editing program which is fairly easy to use? Fotofuze is an option but the background in which you photograph on must be white or black. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thanks.

Didn't picnik close already? I don't use it so I wouldn't know, I have my own software. Anyway I'm pretty sure you can shoot on any color background with fotofuze just as long as it's solid...

They're closing April 19th. Sadly, I have it marked on my calendar. They've been a lifesaver for me w/ my white backgrounds. :(

try GIMP. it is wonderful and there are some great tutorial and helpful tips of GIMP for etsy on the interwebs

Is Gimp free? I've heard of it before in relation to Macs..I have a PC. Is it a website I can go to? I really don't know much about it.

I looked at a lot of free photo editors. I have to say, I'm not very savvy with photo editing, so it has to be pretty easy for me to be able to use it. The only one I've found that's nearly as easy to use and is free is iPiccy. Check it out.

Gimp is a free download. It works on my pc. I am replacing picnic with it, as are, it seems, a lot of people. So far I really like it.

picmonkey.com ! It has many of the same features that picnic has, some features are just called something different.

It's free, loads quickly and is very user friendly. Good luck!

I agree with Krista, when I figured out that picnik is closing, I tried all kinds of softwares and figured out that picmonkey.com is the closest to picnik, a lifesaver! No more panic attacks that picnik is closing, for me :-)

I edit within my machine using Picasa...it is fairly simple to learn. And free to download from google...

I just checked out iPiccy it is super easy just like picnik with a whole lot more. Gimp may do even more BUT there is a VERY big learning curve. Just my thoughts.

I felt the same, I loved picnik, but when I discovered (through someone in this team, btw) about www.pickmonkey.com... lifesaver!!!! It's the same!! :D
