This team is dedicated to sharing business advice in a supportive environment. From the day you first set up your shop to the day you think about quitting your day job, there's so much to learn. Luckily, one of the best things about selling on Etsy is the support and encouragement from other sellers.

Whether you’re brand new to selling on Etsy or you can count the years on both of your hands, you probably have some milestones that you’d like to celebrate with all of us. Post your milestone in this thread. Every month, we'll highlight some of our favorite posts, so join the celebrations!

Please also introduce yourself in your post if you’re new to the Etsy Success Team—describe what you sell and how long your shop has been open.

Here are some examples of milestones (but remember that all personal milestones big or small are worthy of celebrating!):

• You made your 1st sale / 1st international sale / 1st custom order
• You reached (x) # of sales
• You added (x) # of listings in your shop
• You have (x) # of views / favorites / admirers
• You received positive feedback from a buyer
• Your shop was featured in the press or in social media
• You recently opened your shop
• You’re celebrating your Etsyversary

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I got my second sale this week and then this afternoon a man and his wife that I go to church with asked me to make them two 8x 10 frames. I am starting off slow but hopefully I will build momentum soon and my shop will really take off.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I just moved my studio from my home to an actual commercial space!! It is super crazy and I couldn't have done any of this without etsy!!

My new space is huge and is pretty inexpensive (I am sharing it with my husband who is a photographer). It is in an old cigar factory where other artists have studios too. It is neat to be around so much creativity!

Now I just need to figure out the commute :)

love to all of you xoxoxo

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I opened my shop in February this year and had a very slow start, but just today I made my 100th sale.

First it seemed difficult to only sell originals, although my prices are very low, but finally it seems to take off.

Well I'm glad :D

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I hit 1,000 shop fans this week!

I sent the 1,000th person a coupon code to celebrate and was delighted that she used it right away.

It was a real pick-me-up as I'm working on a temporary contact (for some regular income) and a teaching project so the shop is very much squeezed into so-called 'free time' at the moment. I know lots of you will experience this.

Good luck to everyone for winter and Christmas sales :-)

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Yes! Got one more review. I've received three 5-star reviews out of only 9 total purchases. From what I've read, it's difficult to get people to leave reviews and so far I have a 33% review rate. :-)

The 5-star reviews are encouraging. At least they like my product!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hello! My name is Kira, and not only am I new to the Etsy Success Team, but I also just opened up my shop Antlers and Honey!

I sell original hand painted watercolor prints. My artwork is filled with woodland critters and lush greenery. I find inspiration every time I hike in the woods, swim in a lake, or climb to a mountain peek. My goals are simple, to make a living doing what I love, and that is Antlers and Honey.

I am celebrating my first sale on Etsy, and I couldn't be more happy! I am motivated to be successful and to learn for other Etsians!

Good luck everyone!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I am soooooo excited to have reached my goal of 100 sales today! Yay! I really enjoy creating sterling silver jewellery pieces and especially love this platform in which to sell it. Etsy is set up in such a way that it is easy to get your items online and there is always someone to answer a question, should you need help. Thank you, Etsy and thank you to all my customers. Happy Friday!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

after much tweaking and fussing over tags and titles etc., we have our first sale on our 9th day of being open (with no promotions yet). One begins to wonder if their craft is worthy, but in retrospect I could not be more pleased with how short a time that first sale took! WOOHOO.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

I started about 5 months ago and sell girls dresses, home decor items, and embroidered journals. I reached my goal last month of having 50 items in my shop. It was harder than I thought and made even more difficult because I sold several things...not that that's a bad thing at all!!!

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Today I managed to list 180 items :) It may not sound much but I make all my jewelry pieces from scratch so it takes me a while to finish them. I have put in a lot of work into my shop in the past months and my next goal is 200 listings.

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hi All
I am relatively new to Etsy and Etsyness. Living in the South of France but being Australian I am so loving being a part of an international community. I made my first sale to the US a couple of months ago and it was so so so exciting - I still kinda feel that way with each sale!
I am really trying to get into the business side of things now with promotions and trending. If anyone has any hot tips for me on how best to get views, trending and sales I would love to hear from you.
What a lovely forum.
Love
Bohobo x

Re: Official Success Celebration Thread!

Hello Everyone! I truly enjoyed reading your posts, it is truly motivating and inspiring. I opened my shop Oct 13, and I have made 6 in-person sales and I sold 1 online. I am still learning about how Etsy works and I did learn about SEO, but I'm still working on getting traffic to my shop. Any tips and advise would be truly appreciated.
