Boot camp launches on Thursday! Would you like a partner to bounce ideas off of, give you a hand when you need it, and keep you on track through this year’s Holiday Boot Camp? Connect with on of your Etsy companions, reach out to a member of one of your Etsy Teams, or connect with each other in this forum thread. Let other members of the team know what kind of buddy you would most like to partner with. Are they also a jewelry artists? Or maybe you’re looking for someone who also works with upcycled materials? Or maybe you want to find someone nearby?

Wondering what the Etsy Success Holiday Boot Camp is? More info here:

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

I spend most of my time in the studio and not enough time on social networking. I have so many ideas (having been recently unleashed from the rat race) that my only commitment right now is to "make stuff". I am a painter who loves to design and explore, and I never make the same thing twice, though I'm always prepared to do so. I need help thinking like a business person, and getting my ideas reigned in to something approaching practical. And I hate whimsy! Can I get a buddy?

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

Hi!
I would love to have a buddy!! I've been on etsy for a couple of years, but this week my 4 year old started school full days, so this could (should) (WILL) be the first Christmas that I can focus and devote a good amount of time to the shop!

I'd love to have a buddy who is also on twitter, so we can chat and cross promote easily. Doesn't need to be a jewellery maker, but would love someone who has similar taste and shop goals. I'm hoping to get my shop filled this season, get my photos up to scratch and try to step up my marketing and blogging a bit! Take a peek at my blog to find out a bit more about me, and pls convo if you are interested in buddying up!!

I need a holiday store buddy! I launched my vintage shop in the beginning of August and I would love an Etsy expert to help me out! I live in Florida but I love marketing to a broader audience! Anyone who is passionate about vintage, please help a fellow enthusiast! :)

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

I'm looking for a buddy who is an artist and/or beaded jewelry maker who can help guide me through this boot camp thing. I'm very serious about my art (please look at my shop) and eventually want to make this a full time thing. However, I now have a "real job" and have a limited time each day to work on my shop. If you have more experience than I do I'd love to have a buddy/mentor who can "learn me somthin'! Please help............Jana

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

Hello. I'm new to etsy and would love to have a buddy for this holiday season. I would be happy to have anyone as a buddy. He/she doesn't have to make similar things as I do. Just as long as we can learn some things together. Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks

Looking for a buddy - I do this part-time, but would like to move to full time. My specialty is herbs, but I think anyone with a unique product and I can link up nicely!

I am an "empty-nester" who has sold vintage in brick/mortar shop, on another online auction site and now on Etsy. I would love a buddy who sells vintage also. I have been represented in Treasuries but never done one. I know the ropes as far as listing and selling, but have not done much of the other things Etsy offers. I want to start "expanding my horizons" by utilizing all Etsy has to offer. I live in the South. If this fits your idea of a Buddy, please contact me :)

I'm thinking I need a buddy! This is very new to me and I'm excited for the holiday season but I need help getting through it. This is a part-time venture for me and it is hard to make it work. Vintage and handsewn items are my interest.

Anyone who want to be my buddy, I would be delighted. I would like someone critical of my way of doing things in a helpful way. I've alreadybeen told I need to use a gray background. I will try that.

I'm looking for a buddy, too. I sell cards printed from my own illustrations, knitted "humpties", and the occasional original illustration.

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

Hi! My name is Jessa & I've got the same story- I am looking for a buddy. I've got a MFA and I work at a law office but am branching out, trying to find a way to make art my full time job. Working for a divorce lawyer, I came up with the idea of starting a line of divorce related greeting cards, since they barely exist and so many people could use a good laugh during a difficult time. I'm working on getting a more solid body of work and really polishing my images & shop. I would love any advice you may have, and I'd also love to make a new friend and help each other gear up for the holiday! Good luck everyone and thank you!

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

I need a buddy. I've been on Etsy for a while but just recently have given it the serious college try by coming into Etsy as if I'm a newbie...going thru the Seller Handbook, watching videos, and learning/re-learning as if I haven't been here before. I've learned a staggering amount in just a few short weeks.

I design/engrave home decor/gift items. I work two jobs - this being one of them. I am seriously looking to make a huge change for the good with this business and would like to work with someone who is in that mindset already. I can't convince someone else to do this - it's been hard enough convincing myself!!

I have never done the boot camp before but I'm 'in'! Convo me if you want to join me!!

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

I would love to have a buddy for the Holiday Boot Camp ... and for potential networking during and after the holiday season! For that reason, I would like to find someone who does something complimentary but not accessories or jewelry .... maybe someone who...

designs bohemian or shabby style bags or clothing
designs and sells wedding invitations or banners
or??

I am a seasoned Etsian -- this is my third Etsy shop (the others are a vintage shop and a mixed media card shop). I am also a life and creativity coach when not doing my Etsy creating, so I'm good at accountability and brainstorming ideas!

Re: Official “I need a boot camp buddy” Thread

I would love to have a buddy for Holiday Boot Camp. I do etsy part-time because I have a full-time job...and this will be my first Holiday.

I have a couple of blogs tied to my shop as well as facebook page, and twitter/tweet. I don't necessarily need someone with the same interests or similar shop but would like someone to bounce ideas off of and even share frustrations.

I'm in the Chicago Burbs but I'm open to anywhere as technology brings us together right?
