Not a single sale!! Have no idea why!

Please please tell your impressions about my store! I've been nesting here for nearly a year and have no sales at all for so long. What could be the reason? I'd kindly appreciate any suggestions. Thank you in advance, friends.

I don't have a lot of time this morning but here it is in a nutshell: You need to have a native (or at least total fluent) speaker of English proofread everything in your shop. You have tons of grammatical errors. Words that don't belong. And phrases that are hard to understand.

For example you have "Figgery, trinketry, fanciful jewelry ."
A figgery is a farm or orchard that grows figs. What does that have to do with anything?

Then you need to fix your photos. Some have unnecessary and distracting elements and others bad crops that make it difficult to understanding what you are selling.

Many of your pieces are very beautiful. I like your necklaces. But I agree with Richard. I know you have this written in your policies:

"I hope, you are curious enough, aren't you? For, I prefer welcoming shootings with a Story standing behind instead of bare shoots on white unimaginative ground. Hope you'll like surfing through my store. I'm a person full of hopes, yes :)"

For one, I'm not sure what you're saying, but I think you're trying to explain why you don't have plain white backgrounds. Although you may find neutral backrounds to be unimaginative, they are the best for highlighting an item. I'm having a difficult time even understanding what you're seling or being able to see your items properly because the backgrounds match the items to the point where the item blends into them, have nothing to do with the item, or are too busy that they distract from the overall appearance.

Your policies also need some work. You mention having a time frame for sending it out, but then adding an extra day? That was confusing for me. And you prefer PayPal, but do you accept other forms of payment? I also had to look up the term pluribal, which in English is bubble-wrap. Do you accept returns? Do you cover the cost of duties or custom fees if someone does get charged them? That might come up and many buyers don't expect fees to arise and sometimes expect the seller to cover the cost. There are many areas that your policies don't cover.

I would definitely have someone who is completely fluent in English proofread your shop and help you tweak your policies and descriptions. And I would re-shoot your photos on a simpler background.

I agree with what others have said about choosing less distracting backgrounds/pictures for some items and also rewording descriptions/policies.

I also think that some of your tags are not the best. You want to have tags that describe your item and also tags with words/phrases that someone would type into the search bar when looking for an item like yours.

This item has the tag 'secret'. I can't imagine anyone coming to etsy and typing in 'secret' when what they really want is a necklace. (also, I fricken love this necklace, I think it's my favorite of all your items!)

This item (below) has the tag 'boreal forest'. It's true that this pendant is of a bear, and bears do live in boreal forests....but again, if I wanted a bear necklace I'd come to Etsy and search 'bear necklace' 'bear charm jewelry', etc. not 'boreal forest'.

It also has the tag "native indian fetish," which I find odd and maybe a little inappropriate as a tag. Unless you're trying to market to people who enjoy dressing up like a Native American as part of their sex life (which, if tha'ts who you're marketing towards...who am I to judge).

Same goes for part of the bear amulet's title that says "ursus arctos fetish". Who is going to be searching for the scientific name of the brown bear on Etsy?

Your pieces are super original and unique. I'm sure there is a market for them! You just need to use your photos and SEO better in order to help those who'd want to buy your items find them.

Photograph with a less distracting background for your first photo so your designs pop! Trade jewelry for an English speaker to proofread your titles, tags and texts. We call the plastic air-filled material "bubble wrap."

Agnessa, your use of the term "fetish" is appropriate. While one definition refers to a sexual proclivity, another definition refers to small carvings (typically of animals) made by the indigenous (Native American) Zuni people. However, I'm not sure if the term really would apply since I don't believe you're selling authentic Native American fetishes - just small animals (really cool animals...I too favorited your horse necklace) worked into your pieces. Correct me if I'm wrong.

As I was writing my comments, Richard, Annie, Bee and Bev, posted their opinions. Due to lack of time, I will not revise my comments. Some of them, I am sure, will be repetitive.

I love your jewelry. It is unique and wonderful. I am sure you will find your niche.

Your photos are very nice, but a little dark and the background is very distracting. Perhaps you could use a plain background on your first photo. I like the photo with the model showing your jewelry.

Your shop title, “Figgery, trinketry, fanciful jewelry”, is searchable in Google. However, very few people, if any, will search for Figgery, trinketry or fanciful jewelry.

Also, in at least one of your titles you use the color “puce”. I do not believe a person would search for that color. I would use dark purple, or brownish red instead.

I will start by stating that I am not a native English speaker, but I believe, that you need some help regarding your grammatical construction. For example:

In your “About” page you state:

At the very beginning “I was slightly afraid of getting enough of this business but the nature itself, again and again, keeps telling me its stories.” I find them everywhere, in leaves and branches, stones and small creatures, laces, dreams and memories... And I'm happy to show them to you all.

I think I know what you mean, but it is a little confusing.

Your listing:

Very few people, if any, will search for “Magic Portal Pendant”. The first few words of your title are the most important. I would suggest something like Grey Agate Necklace, Agate Slab Pendant, etc.

You have some grammatical errors. For example:
“can be changes as you wish.” Should be “can be changed as you wish”

In this and some of your other listings you use:

“Great package. The pendant will be wrapped into a piece bubble film which protects it from damages and then packed in a stylish designed box.”

I would delete the phrase “great package”, and use “The pendant will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and placed inside a stylish box… or something like that.

"Custom orders are not available, please sorry me for that; the best things sprout up freely, without bounds and limits." Here, again, you need the help of a native English speaker.

You need a “Return” policy. What would you do if an item is damaged? Do you accept returns? Who pays for the return postage?
