Newbie here! Where to improve?

Hi everyone,

I have just opened my shop over a month ago and got so much help from a friend, that I would never be able to say thank you enough times. And I have been very lucky to have quite few sales as well, but wondering where else could I improve?
What else could I change to be able to grow slightly bigger?
Any help is kindly appreciated!
Thank you! :)

I would suggest filling about your about section in more detail. Buyers love to know about your process. Also you have lots of spelling and grammar errors throughout your shop.

Your shop is great!
I would keep improving photos. Some of them have too much light and doesn't show the item clearly. For example the golden shell necklace, which is fantastic by the way!
Maybe some silver tone jewelry need a different background. White background is very difficult for silver jewelry. Have you tried a gray background for them?

Dear Chantelle,

Here are a few articles which may help:

HOW TO MAKE YOUR PHOTOS PUBLICITY READY

HOW ETSY SEARCH WORKS

CREATIVE WAYS TO GIVE BACK

and here is our advice for what it's worth!

1.) TITLES: Concentrate on the first five words of your listing and match them to the most likely words a potential customer would type. Use the Etsy search bar to assist you. Start typing a potential search and stop, Etsy will make several suggestions and many shoppers will click on these rather than finish typing their search terms. Match them.

2.) Item description: You may not realize it, but the first two or three sentences of your listing will appear on Google searches and when you post links to your listings on Facebook or other sites. We recommend including the best sales pitch you can make at the top of your listing.

3.) WORK ON YOUR TAGS: Put yourself in the customers shoes. We recommend taking a step back and looking at Etsy differently than you are accustomed to as a shop owner. Use the Etsy search bar and go shopping for items similar to the items in your shop from the customers point of view.

Re: Newbie here! Where to improve?

Thank you very much ladies. Unfortunately I do have to be super careful with spelling, since english is only my third language, but will definitely check trough my shop again :) I will play around with photos as well, just tried to follow the trends, lol. But that might not be a good idea then :)
Many many thanks for all your help

Hi, Ursula, beautiful work!

You don't mention what type of clasp is on this necklace and none of the photos show it. I suggest adding this detail to the description and make sure at least one photo shows it.

All the best,
Bev

Re: Newbie here! Where to improve?

Bev that is an awesome idea, never even thought about it. Of course since I know what is on them, it made obvious for me and never thought that epople would be interested in a clasp :)) But will change the descriptions slowly :)
