Re: Newbe needs help :D

Your product are nice.

It just will be great if you manage to have a more relevant title instead of using all the keyword on it? Then use the title as keyword to put into your tag, and also description.

Now what I see from the listing you have, the product description is kinda too short. You may consider to include more info to your product description, and that is pretty important for buyer to know and get confidence to buy your products. You can tell a little bit stories behind how your created your beautiful handmade and material used.

other than that, I believe your photos are quite nice. What you need to do is list more fresh product once or twice a week and get more expose for your products to social network or your website/blog to help gain more visits to your shop.

cheers,

Re: Newbe needs help :D

I agree - unique shop - but when I clicked on a necklace - there was hardly a description of the piece. Let the buyers know how long a necklace is - how wide etc.
Your title and tags - while unique are not common search words.
The above listing - Title could be Magical Fairy Necklace, Blue Stone Pendant
Tags - jewelry, necklace, pendant, blue stone, blue necklace, macrame necklace etc... what you think someone would put in the search bar:)

Re: Newbe needs help :D

Goodmorning Mila!
I wouldn't worry about having not made a sale yet... I have a smaller shop like yourself (less than 50 items) and didn't have a sale for a few months when I first opened
Getting sales takes a lot of work, for now I would recommended focusing on getting your views up, be active in teams, make treasuries, tweet, Facebook, blog etc!!

Good luck :)

Re: Newbe needs help :D

Think like a customer-
example
http://www.etsy.com/listing/103161052/free-shippingbubblebubbleuv-blacklight
If you were looking for something like this necklace, what words would you use to search for it? Free shipping? No, but those are the first words you use in the most important part of your listing. Use words that a buyer would use to find a necklace. That is SEO, search engine optimization. Listing your items with the keywords that will get customers to your listing.
I'd give you some suggestions but you haven't given me any information about your item in the description, how long is it, what is it made of, how is it made, is it adjustable, what it the stone? When will I receive it, how is it shipped?
This is your only chance to explain to your customer all the things they want to know. If they don't find it they'll just go to another shop that has more information.
You can get a lot of information here in the Seller Handbook on the ETSY blog. It helps to read up and learn from others.

Re: Newbe needs help :D

Mila, you have darling pieces however I found some things that you amy want to focus on.

First is basically what everyone else has stated is your info. How long is it, what is it made of, etc. Word it as if you are looking for that item yourself. What type of clasp does it have..these are things that I have found works. Also, use all your spaces for photos. The more pics you have, the more info you are giving the customer.

The next problem that I found was you don't have your policies posted. Do you accept returns, do you ship UPS, USPS, etc. When I am shopping I like to know what to expect. This is helpful.

Last thing is your photos. They are a bit dark. I had the same problem when I started and it takes time to get them fixed, but boy it makes alot of difference.

I really feel that if you worked on these things and getting your stuff a bit more organized, paintings with paintings, jewelry with jewelry you'll notice that traffic will pick up for you. Be patient, it's summer and things are sluggish, it's just the calm before the storm.
