New shop format

It seems that there is a new format to shops that was put in sometime this afternoon. My banner and featured items section are both gone.

Did I miss an email??

How did you miss all the howling in the fora? It is only a test. Don't change anything until there is a formal announcement. Most people see your shop with the banner. I, for one, still see it.

Yup, just a test. Hopefully they decide not to stick with it though. I 100% don't like it. I like my banner, shop announcement, etc.

Mine just flipped on me to the new format. Ack, it looks awful and so do the other shops I've looked at. All those hours spent perfectly arranging my items, my designed banner & my featured items all gone!
Hope the test ends soon, I dont like it at all!

I just got the new test on my Kindle. Some sold items are showing the prices. It looks like the ones that show the prices I still have more available for sale, and it also shows the prices for custom orders sold. I hope they fix it so sold prices don't show.

Linda--I would report that in Bugs. I feel fairly certain that falls under "unintended consequences."

I don't like the new format either. Most of us put time in for our banner's and shop announcements.

There is a bug thread already on the Sold Items showing Prices, so it's not just me.

I do not like the new format either, I really hope they change it back.

I miss the ability to rearrange my shop and see a "list" view of the items. Seems like a very generic look to me and a little impersonal for my taste.

I can see a new front page design (very attractive) when i use the Google Chrome browser. The shop pages looks the same as they do now.

I do like the new front page design. There is no FP treasury but that are photos and links to several Etsy shops.

It does seem to be very generic and impersonable. We work hard on our branding and adding personality to our shops. It makes no sense to me why they would take that away. I don't see how this serves some greater purpose.

I can see the new shop pages when I use the Firefox browser and I don't like them. Too impersonal and, to me, somewhat alarming. What is the next step? Take away the avatars and shop name?

It is discouraging to see Etsy trying to emulate large and impersonal ecommerce web sites where the maker of the item is not important.

The about pages look fabulous! Pics take up entire screen, looks great! Of course, you'll need high res images if you don't already have them. Also, about page profile pic is prominent on shop home page (top right hand corner).

I'm not feeling the change either. I think shop annoucements are pretty important :/

I don't like the new format at all. Just had my banner updated and I rearrange my shop all the time. Hope it goes back. :(

I don´t like it one bit, I can´t re-arrange my items, I can let customers know about latest NEWS on shop announcement!!
Pics start way below but you can clearly see the LIKES AND FOLLOWERS, why??? who would really want to know that before seeing my products?

I need the old version back!!

How high res? I export my pics for Etsy at 2000 pixels... I can't remember where...but read that was the preferred Etsy size?

The new storefront has a real clean, streamline look. I think it really shows off the listings. I like that its clean and uncluttered, but perhaps just putting the banners back up. I like that the sections are in a drop down list now. That helps visually I think. I dont know, they might know what their doing;)
