New Years Resolution ~ Organization!

Hi All ~ I hope you can view this photo. I copied is from my "About" page. Since I started making jewelry (4 years ago), I was never very organized. I pieces and parts here and there. I would waste so much time looking for stuff. Not any more! I have everything in the attached bins. I have one larger storage cabinet that holds all my shipping supplies.

I just made a few things to fill an order today (Yay!) and it was amazing! This is my best accomplishment to date! I love to be organized and can't believe I didn't do this sooner. I had 10 days off from work so have had plenty of time to complete this task. I hope I have inspired you! Sam's Club had the bins on sale for $25

Those look fantastic! Good for you! Wish I had room for those. I am currently using 2 rather large shelving units from IKEA. All the shelves are different sizes. One is on its side so it then comes up to about my waste and the other is on its bottom so it is over my head which is great for storage. I like them a lot. I'm working out of the living room in our apt. But hubby got me a desk for Christmas, yay!!!

That's is inspirational! I need to get organized so badly this year. It's one of my top goals! But, I hardly have any space and am working out of my bedroom. I would love to have a studio, although that's a very long term goal. I like how clean your workspace looks and I know having something that organized would definitely help with the creativity!

I love those bins! they sell them with deeper drawers too. I have a home office and I would love to remove 2 shelving units and put those in!

Great work! I spent about 3 or 4 hours today cleaning. Sadly since I was starting at hoarder status it doesn't really look like I did anything yet! LOL!

I will just have to start chipping away at the studio mess!

I can't tell you how much it helped to have these bins. I used ice cube trays from the dollar store as sectionalizers in some of the drawers. I already had bead storage trays too. I wanted to quit several times as it was such a big job. I have thousands of pieces and parts. But I got 'er done!

Mary, the bins look great! I do have a studio, but wish I could devote a week or so to just organize! Unfortunately I work full time plus my Etsy shop, so haven't found the time yet, but......thanks for the inspiration! I'm really, really, REALLY going to try to start organizing, if only a few minutes a day, ANYTHING is an improvement, right? :)

I know Beth, finding the time is so hard. I saved up vacation time for the holidays. There isn't much else to do in WI when it is so cold. My sweetie was gone the last two days so that helped me too. You just can't believe the mess I had when I started.
