New Shop Owner

Hello everyone! I'm new at this and really would love some honest feed back on any improvements you think I could make. What could I do to get out there? Still working on my first sale and I feel like I'm doing something wrong : (

Re: New Shop Owner

Hi Kristina and welcome to Etsy! I've been a seller here for almost a year and I'm still learning about driving traffic to my shop. One thing I did recently that created a good flow was to pin my items on my pintrest board. You can also get really good info in the seller handbook which I've been rereading this week.

Looking at your shop I can see one thing that really stands out as something you could change is to have a shop banner. It's the same as a store sign. It lets people know you're there and what you sell.

Re: New Shop Owner

Hi Kristina,

I am new to Etsy as well. Just looking at your shop, I would try to get better photography on your photos or maybe edit them a bit. Try to use all your tags for SEO and make sure to use phrases and not a lot of one worded tags. Most everything else looked really good.

I would have to agree with Joelle in saying to get a banner.

Good luck!

Re: New Shop Owner

Hi Kristina,
Welcome to Etsy!

I think you need more descriptions on some of the products. Some questions I think buyers would have are is it scent free, what does it smell like, how do I take the digestive one - mix in a drink?

The photography is good as far as display goes but the images are low resolution. This could be a problem if you took them with a low resolution camera or if you pulled the pictures from a memory card instead of downloading them to your computer and then uploading them.

You get 13 tags so be sure to use ALL of them! :) Yes, start pinning them to Pinterest and I see you have a Facebook page with a good bit of followers, now you just need to link it to your Etsy page.

And I agree with the others you need a banner! I'm a graphic designer if you would like one created let me know.

Good luck on your new business venture!

Re: New Shop Owner

Welcome to Etsy! It's a lot of fun but also a lot of work. As with posters above, it would be a good idea to add more description to your listings. Include what materials you you to make the product here, dimensions (coconut candle) and what sets your product apart. Also, you have five photo spots and you want to try to use them. It can sometimes be hard to get five shots but try. The other thing that will help you get more traffic is by having more items in your store. As soon as you have a new item list it.

Good luck and hope this helps!
