Negative feedback:(

Just got my first negative feedback, and she didn't say why or contact me first...I'm soooo bummed!!! Do you think this will affect my sales?!

I don't think so. The less than 100% might make some customers look at the feedback but the fact that there was no explanation means it won't affect the average buyer. I almost wonder if they just hit the neg. button in error, your shop is cute and so affordable.

I agree with Terri. If they had left a negative comment I may be a little worried, but it's blank! Personally, I wouldn't worry at all. The only way I wouldn't buy from a seller is if there was several negative feedbacks about the quality of the product!

Thanks Terri:) I hope that was what happened...I sent her a convo to try to fix it so hopefully it can be resolved. I put so much time and effort into my shop and it just bummed me out this morning.

Don't worry Jen,

It happened to my once. However, I tried to send the buyer a convo and tried to understand why he's not satisfied with item he bought and I even willing to refund him if he's not satisfied with this purchase. Fortunately, he finally understand about my design and happy with what he received. perfect ending.

I don't think one negative feedback will hurt! When I had my first the customer ended up apologizing because she didn't contact me first and we were able to use the "kiss and make up" option! Maybe you could try to do the same.

That is weird usually people who give negative feedback leave a comment maybe it was a mistake and if a buyer looks at that with no comments they are probably going to come to that conclusion also.

I wouldn't have thought it would affect your sales, but considering that she didn't even leave any actual feedback, it might be worth politely messaging her and asking what you can do to correct the issue.

I think a lot of sellers get too upset over negative feedback - it WILL happen to all of us, when we get a troublesome customer, even if we do everything right. Don't take it personally. She didn't scream at you demanding her money back, so it couldn't have been that bad, could it?

think about why the feedback was negative. shipping time, quality, size or customization. review the transaction from someone else perspective.

On the subject of feedback, has anyone considered that the 'kiss and make up' option could become an instrument of extortion? I know that sounds rather conspiracy-ish but I think it's happening to our shop.

One negative out of 47 positive will not hurt your sells a bit! Also....no comment left by the buyer. That helps too! I would not loose sleep over it but it always helps to know why a buyer did not like something about product or service because then you can try to fix it for them or improve on something to prevent it from happening again.

I know how it feels , one negative feedback - looses your sleep , but calm down take deep breaths , think about why was this ? But before that I would definetely contact the buyer and ask for the reason and if I feel , say sorry.this will not do any harm but the buyer feels nice and calms down. asking for a refund? give it immediately ! that what I did, even though I knew evrything was ok. It was ur bad day , thats it !
sometimes people don't even see the feedback later, keep doing good work.

I wouldn't worry. The fact they didn't comment devalues - at least, for me - their credibility :)
