Negative Feedback

Ok so I received my first Negative feedback thanks to the postal system. The package was sent on the 20th which was the last day for First Class to be received in time for Christmas. Not sure what made the package late. I tried to make it right by refunding all of the shipping costs but still received the negative. How long will this stay on my feedback?

Re: Negative Feedback

That's tough---did you guarantee to the buyer they would receive in time for Christmas? if so perhaps they should have been sent in advance of the deadline to be safe....sorry =(

Re: Negative Feedback

First class mail is so iffy, I used priority right up to the last 4 days before Christmas but let people know that even 2-3 days this time of year can be even up to 5-6 and shopping that late has no guarantee after it leaves my hands. It's all logged into the DC numbers so they can see it.

People should know that ordering something that close it might not make it there. So sorry that stinks either way.

Re: Negative Feedback

Getting negative feedback due to the postal service is just harsh! Especially around the busy period.

Have you tried the Kiss and Make up option?

Re: Negative Feedback

Well I had received an email asking for the $6.00 in shipping to be refunded and did so. I thought that would be enough. Especially since the USPS tracking also said it was to arrive on Christmas Eve.

Re: Negative Feedback

Aw, that's horrible. Try convo-ing the customer to see if there is any way you can rectify the situation. If yes, then do the kiss and make-up. Good luck!

Re: Negative Feedback

I think you can email Etsy and explain the situation and they can remove the negative comment. You refunded her the shipping costs and you had no control over shipping. I think you did everything you could and the negative feedback was uncalled for.

I had a shipping mishap too. Someone sent me a message about getting something before Christmas, I charged her extra for priority mail. Somehow the man at the USPS store typed the info in wrong, it was suppose to go to Maine, but was programed to go somewhere in CA. The Friday night before Christmas, after the post office closed was when she contacted me to let me know it wasnt there yet, so I couldn't do anything about it until Christmas Eve. Luckily she is also a shop owner and was very understanding about the post office mishap.
