Need some help/critique!

Hi everyone!
I've been a seller on Etsy since the end of March and I've had 18 sales. I know that's not bad, but I'm always eager for more sales! I've been a member of this team for a while now and I regularly read the discussions and have learned so much from everyone but I feel like I need some more specific advice. It's so hard for me to get views. I can list an item, and a week later I still only have 5-10 views! I know it's impossible to sell your items if no one even sees them and so I'm not sure why they are so low. I've changed my titles and tags a million times and nothing seems to make much of a difference as far as I can tell... so any advice would be SO greatly appreciated! :)

Hi Louise,

Just popped into your shop - cute stuff! I like your pictures, very clear, colorful and eye catching. I struggle with getting views too, things that I've found that help:

- posting new listings on Twitter/FB
- getting into Treasuries

Most of the treasuries my stuff gets featured in comes from teams that I am involved in. For example, I am a curator for the EtsyKids Treasury team and if you were a member of our team I would definitely add you to my "go to" shop list because your photos would make for pretty treasuries. So perhaps getting involved in some treasury teams might also help?

I find that renewing my items, even if it's one or two a day definitely increases my views. I am looking into the treasury teams option also. If anyone has any advice on a team I would greatly appreciate it. I am aware that I need to increase my listings also. It just takes time and patience, both of which are difficult to have all the time. Good luck!

Cute shop! Just an FYI from one seller to another, have you checked with CPSIA rules about the buttons and such you use? I also sell items for babies and kids & got asked the same thing when someone critiqued my shop. I'd never heard of it before then, but there's a team on here to get more info.

Claudia, you're right about treasuries, my bows that have the most views are usually the ones that have been featured at some point. I will join your team and look forward to more interactions.
Crazedmomma, I've been on the fence about renewing because it seems like when I do sometimes I don't even get 1 more view. But maybe I'm just renewing at the wrong times! Is there a time of day where you find gets you more exposure?
Arainyday, I haven't checked into CPSIA but I will look into it!
Thanks so much guys. I also want to do some research into SEO to make sure I'm utilizing my titles/tags in the right way. Any tips on that?
