Need shop review please!

Hi all! I opened my shop months ago, but didn't actually start listing items until 2-3 weeks ago. I am getting quite a bit of traffic and some favorites, but have not made any sales yet. I'm promoting my shop on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

I would appreciate if some of you seasoned veterans could take a look and give me some ideas on how to make my shop better. Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Need shop review please!

I'm not a seasoned veterans, but thought I'd chime in :)

I would look to do something a bit more fun with your banner. Maybe find a way to help the text pop out a bit more since the background is pretty busy. I'd also look at getting a nice logo together with an unique font instead of the very common script font you have.

Most of the photos of items are good, but they could probably have a bit better lighting. Also a few of them are blurry, maybe you can try using the macro setting on your camera to get good close detail shots?

Finally, I got this advice from others -- try to continue growing your inventory. People like to see a shop that has a lot of things, maybe they consider it to be more successful or something? My sales really increased after I had 50-75 items.

Best of luck!

Re: Need shop review please!

My advice would be to brighten your photographs a bit (They are nice but a little greyish). Make your 'shop title' (not your shop name) more descriptive of what you sell so that your shop can be found on Google and other domains.

I think it's also very important that your fill out your policies page... as a shopper I won't by from anyone that doesn't have policies because it leaves me with too many unanswered questions about shipping, breakage, returns, turn around time, etc.

I would also suggest that you not limit yourself by shipping only nationally...

Hope that helps : )

Re: Need shop review please!

I'm fairly new myself. But I'll put in my two cents. :)

I love your bracelets, they are really fun. A few of your pictures are a bit shadowy (is that even a word?), so it's kind of hard to tell what's you're looking at. You also can always add more products, so that people are more likely to find you. Keep promoting, and putting the work in and the sales will come!

Best of luck!

Re: Need shop review please!

Thanks for the input! I have so much trouble looking at my own stuff critically. It's nice to have a place to ask for help! I'll keep working on improving my photos and adding to my shop. I'll also get busy on filling out my policies and such. I hadn't thought about that being a reason not to buy! I will also look at shipping internationally.

Thanks again for looking and commenting! If anybody else has suggestions, all are welcome!

Anita I would suggest using teams and joining in on the fun of favoring others and your things getting favored. Use your team name as a tag. This gets your things out there. I too am learning but the teams have helped me to bring in some traffic. Sales are low right now but I do hope they pick up. I too need to clean up photos. I have learned so much from some great people on here!
Good luck
