Need a question answered ~ please help

When I go into look at items on Etsy, I see the word sponsored on the top left hand corner of the page, and the same shop items keep appearing on the first row of each page...what is sponsored, and can anyone get into that slot ? Thanks for the help! I did go into help for an answer, but nothing related came up?

Yes anyone can get that slot but you need to pay for it. Hang on a tick I'll just have a look for where you can buy the adds from...

They're called Search Adds. If you click on your shop name in the top right hand corner, then look to the left hand column you'll find a link under Promote.

I've tried the search ads before, but didn't realize or see my items on top...didn't have any luck with sales, but will try again. Thanks so much for the help...fairly new to Etsy and still learning daily! :)

They're search ads that you'll need to pay for!

I tried Search Ads once and my items never came up that I could see and my views didn't change either. Obviously Ads work for some sellers, but I don't have the funds to spend on Ads and have found that working on my shop has brought in more views and a few sales.
