Re: My shop needs help!

Hi Bella, From first impressions I feel that your photographs could do with a bit of improvement. Try using the same backgrounds, photograph in natural light (not direct sunlight) and without flash. Have a look at shops with similar products and see how they photograph their products, what do you like, or not like about how other people do things. Make sure that your images are all really crisp and clear.

I also feel like your banner doesn't really tie in with the look of your products.

Personally I prefer the style of these photos but feel the material is slightly too busy and detracts from your product.

I would try tweaking tags and titles. Using this item again as an example you could tag it "black and white bracelet, vintage inspired bracelet, bird bracelet cuff" etc

Hope this helps a bit :)

Re: My shop needs help!

Hi Bella,

Cute jewelry! However, your shop could work harder to sell it.

I recommend
- Simplifying your header with just logo and tag line in olive green on cream background for more of a contemporary approach to match your jewelry style
- Rephotographing: (brighter, sharper, more dynamic angles) Experiment with angles for achieve more sharp, dynamic shots. It is important that your photography be in focus as it is the key selling point to potential buyers once they have found your piece. If your photography is subpar, then the viewer believes the jewelry to be subpar. Keep photography background look consistent. Light/White backgrounds seem to be most popular and usually work well. However, you will need to experiment for your own style. Browse successful shops to review photography styles, shop looks
- Revisit tags and descriptions. For the necklace below, only one tag even mentions bird. Try variations that someone may search by. Use all your tags.
- Include how your item ships and if sales tax applies to NY

Maybe something like:

Title: Swinging Bird Necklace in Antiqued-Brass

Charming bird on swing necklace on 16 inch brass chain with lobster clasp closure.
Charm: 1 inch high (29 mm)
Chain: 16 inch
