My Shop

Hello everyone, I'm new to Etsy, and I'm having a blast, however, since opening my shop in July 2015 I've only had one sale. I sent the item off immediately and even added a thank you note inside the package, and I waited to read to see the good reviews, but unfortunately I have yet to see them. I have many more wreaths since July, but haven't gotten anymore My question is why haven't I gotten anymore sales?

Re: My Shop

Elsie,

Congrats on your first order! Feedback is not the easiest thing to get back from customers. Continue your hard work, sales will start coming especially with the holidays coming around.

Re: My Shop

Ooh elsie elsie elsie, what lovely wreaths!

These are my tips that helped me hun :)

1. Have a shop banner
2. Put a welcome greeting under said Banner
3. fill in the Policies section - many folk wont buy if you have none
4. Make the words in your tags match the words in the item title
5. The first photo of each item needs to show clearly what the item is as one is scrolling through etsy. So you can see the whole wreath hanging on the door ...i think it'd look fab 👍

Only got 5 mins. Prob more i can find when ive more time.
Good luck elsie...lovely wreaths 😊

Re: My Shop

Oooh. & i also thought, do choose 4 ( or is it 5?) shop favourites so they are all featured at the very top of your shop. Looks fab for presentation & you show at a glance the different things your shop holds :)

Re: My Shop

Hi Elsie,

I think you have a good number of items to have the shop looking full :) However, as Mirry mentioned, you have to have shop policies - especially if you don't have any reviews yet. I personally won't buy from shops that don't because I would want to know whether there's any protection for me, as a consumer, should the item get lost, be broken, etc.

I think you will also need some photos of each wreath that are a bit more zoomed out so you can see the whole wreath in the thumbnail picture, as opposed to just a section of it. It'll give you some blank space around each wreath, and let the eyes rest a bit since the wreaths are so colourful! This way, it'll help the buyer distinguish one listing from another a bit better.

Good luck :)
