My First Sale!

I have had my shop up for about 3 months and just got my first sale custom order! It was so exciting and the customer was very pleased! What steps can I take to keep the customer coming back or referring me to others? I believe reviews are some thing people really take notice to. How can I get my customers to make reviews? Is there any tips on this? Thanks!

Congrats! You can inform your customer by convo about shipping times and kindly ask for their feedback. You can also issue a coupon offering a sale on next purchase.

Yayyyy! I'd love to have customers spread the word too, but here on Etsy it's really hard to get reviews. Even sellers with hundreds of sales have maybe 50 reviews.

Some people ask for reviews and some people think that's rude ... so I don't think there's one good answer.

Congrats! its a great feeling to have your first sale. We have an automatic message setting that when we ship an item it lets the customer know that the item is on its way to them and if the enjoy the item or the service please leave us feedback. For good feedback we send those customers a coupon toward their next purchase as a thank you.
You get feedback and they have an incentive to leave feedback

Congrats!!! That's a great feeling isn't it? Personally, I don't ask my customers to leave feedback. I know others are comfortable doing so and it certainly doesn't bother me if a seller asks me to leave feedback. I always include a little hand written note with a coupon code on the receipt. And I leave a message, including their name when the order is shipped. Best wishes to many more sales!!

I usually include a thank you with my packages and care instructions for their shirt.

Thank you so much! Yes I agree I don't like or want to ask for feedback but to help get customers to come back a coupon is great because maybe they saw something else they liked and now can purchase with the coupon! I hope you all the best as well! =]
